What style is Appropriate business attire for everyday in the office? What do I wear for an interview ? What not to wear to an interview? These questions will be addressed in this post with looks that you can shop to be successful and stylish from the interview straight into your first day at the office.
Before we get to the clothes you will wear, Let’s address basic  essentials that are just as important. Nails should to be freshly manicured and painted a light neutral shade, no longer than medium length. Hair, freshly washed and professionally styled. Choose a hairstyle that says I’m serious about working here, no messy buns or pony tails. Demonstrating to your prospective employer that you are a mature adult and personal grooming is high on your list tells them a lot about who you are as a person. The unspoken first impression can sometimes make or break a deal, so put your best effort into how you look. This is especially important to employers looking for someone representing their company in public.
Follow these tips to help you in preparation for the big day. Shoes and handbag should be as new as you can afford. If this is not possible than take time to polish the shoes and handbag you already own. Accessories should be held to a minimum for your interview. An example would be: a watch, single bracelet, one ring on each hand, small to medium earrings and a statement necklace. You will be fully accessorized and professional! The key is moderation. This is no time to wear all your trendy clothes and accessories. Save your trendy looks for after work and date nights. Think and dress conservatively. The only exception would be if you were applying for a job in a creative or retail fashion environment. If that is the case, wear clothes appropriate to the store in which you are applying and dress accordingly. Do your homework on the company for which you are seeking employment. How do current employees dress for work? If it is not a uniform, styling yourself similarly would be appropriate.
I have selected some basic wardrobe pieces and included the links for you to pick and choose from. You’ll be ready for the interview  and your first day on the job. Good Luck! (link for gaucho pant above)
